The reasons for respiratory failure
Many diseases can be directly or indirectly affect the respiratory function of the lungs caused by respiratory failure. Important causes are as follows:
First, nervous system diseases
(A) or peripheral nerve center for disease such as the brain or spinal cord trauma, brain tumors, cerebrovascular accidents, brain infections, brain edema, polio, multiple neuritis, and so on.
(B) if the respiratory center sedative drug suppression, the Yan Yao or anesthetics, such as excessive.
Second, bone, muscle and pleural disease
(A) of bone diseases such as thoracic spine after scoliosis, multiple rib fractures, and so on.
(B) respiratory muscle activity obstacles such as myasthenia gravis, organic poisoning, polymyositis, muscular dystrophy, hypokalemia and abdominal pressure increases or limited activities over the diaphragm, such as obesity.
(C) pleural diseases such as pleural fibrosis, pleural effusion large, tension pneumothorax, and so on.
3, lung and airway disease
(A) if the foreign body airway diseases, cancer, inflammation so that the airway obstruction or stenosis. More多见is fine bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema caused by the peripheral airway obstruction.
(B) lavage, interstitial lung diseases such as pulmonary circulation and lung inflammation, atelectasis, diffuse pulmonary fibrosis, emphysema, lung congestion, pulmonary edema, lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary perfusion inadequate.
Suffering from chronic respiratory diseases has been damage to the lung function of patients, or have been suffering from chronic respiratory failure patients, often caused by some kind of incentive for acute respiratory failure or acute exacerbation of chronic respiratory failure. The incentives are common: ① respiratory infections, pulmonary embolism; ② application of anesthetics, sedative drugs, sleeping pills and pain medicine, and so on; ③ increase in respiratory metabolic basis of increased load, such as high fever, trauma surgery, hyperthyroidism; ④ vein Infusion, and so on.
